My New Obsession

Ok, I was introduced to the American haiku tonight... it's essentially the same thing as a Japanese haiku except you don't need the three lines and it doesn't necessarily have to be about nature... so it's still 17 syllables and it can be about pretty much anything... so as an exercise in the Word of Mouth meeting tonight, we had five minutes to come up with as many as possible...

Some people just had one, some had two... I ended up with five somehow... the other members seemed to like most of them, so I figured I'd post what I came up with...

"Being fat allows me to eat what I want at all times; I love it..."
"Just because Obama's in office, doesn't mean racism ended..."
"The best day of my life was when I realized love is for suckers..."
"Why do some people think it's ok to wear short skirts when it's cold outside?"
"When did it become cool for fat dudes, like me, to put on skinny jeans?"

Then, throughout the rest of the meeting, I also penned these jawns:
"It's not ok to hit a woman? What if she hits me first? No fair..."
"She never once complains about me coming too fast: masturbation..."
"I started doing poetry for chicks; that's not working out at all..."


I definitely see this becoming my new obsession... LOL... I'm trying to have 250 by the next Haiku Battle on the 26th...
