Fashion Faux Pas

I'm not usually one to follow the fashion trends of most people but I have a general question for the public... can you rock adidas with Nikes? I'm not a big fan of most adidas products but their track jackets are usually fucking bananas (like the one pictured above) but most adidas Sneakers (with the exception of Shelltoes) look utterly ridiculous... the Phillipines Edition Air Force 1s (obviously made by Nike) are crazy on their own and they match the jacket perfectly... so how much of a faux pas would it be to rock something blatantly adidas with something blatantly Nike?
