Man, What A Day

Ok... so like an ass, I ended up staying up until like 6 in the morning watching my King of Queens DVD (it's a funny ass show), so needless to say I didn't wake up at 9 to finish packing like I planned... the plan was to be on the road by noon so that I could be back at school by 1; moved in by 2; chillin' by 3... well, I ended up waking up at 11:45 but still got on the road by 1. Arrived in Greenville by 2:30, was moved in by 4...

So my dreams of having a single room to myself with a dope ass TV, a lounge area and all that got squashed today... turns out that there's an unusual number of men on this campus so they're not honoring any single room requests this semester... it sucks but my roommate is pretty cool... he reminds me a lot of Jamal... so that's a positive too... not to mention, homie helped me carry all my shit up three flights of steps... and he's a sneakerhead... so I don't see there being many problems with us...

Got up to financial aid about 4:30 and took care of everything there but somehow my mom forgot her W-2, so we're still not in the clear all the way yet... hopefully she faxes that to them tomorrow so I can get that poppin' sooner than later... it looks like my aid won't be all the way straight until either Friday or Monday, and I can't get my ID until all that's straight so that means no rec, no dining hall, pretty much nothing but my room and the open air of campus until Friday or Monday... but I'm optimisitic... I'm hoping everything gets taken care of and that there's no issues...

I'm meeting with my advisor tomorrow so that I can get my classes straight and it's looking like I won't be able to take all online classes like I planned... I forgot I need four years of Spanish to get my English degree (yeah it doesn't make sense to me either) so I gotta take Spanish I this semester in order to graduate on time...

So I get back to my room after dealing with financial aid, I gave moms a kiss on the cheek and she went on down the road because she needed to get to church... and then as soon as she leaves, I realize I didn't bring any lotion, hangers or shower shoes... I'm royally fucked... there's a Wal-Mart about 15 minutes away but I have NO way to get there until tomorrow... so either before or after my advisor meeting tomorrow, I'ma just go up there and get what I need... for tonight, I'ma just throw a shirt on the shower floor and throw it away after the shower... I been sweatin' all day from lugging all these damn sneakers up and down the steps so there's no way I'm going to bed dirty, fam... it's just not gonna happen... and I'll just have to be ashy... lol

So as of right now, I'm cool... a little disappointed about the single room thing but it's probably for the best anyway... I'm waiting for these honey barbecue wings to arrive and once I tear them down, I'll probably go ahead and lay it down for the night...
