Best Response to I Love You

I've been in a situation many a time where somebody will tell me they love me and I'm not quite there... in my younger days, I would simply say "I love you too" just to avoid an awkward moment... as I got older and those three words started to mean something, I would say "I'm not quite there but when I get there, I won't hesitate to say I love you too"...

So I'm watching Judge Mathis today... and this old couple is up there talking about their relationship and whatnot... and the guy says "the first time she told me she loved me, I said 'I can understand why'"

Old people are hilarious...
